About the Conference

IsraHCI is the premier annual gathering bringing together researchers, designers, engineers, and practitioners shaping the future of interactive technology. The conference is a forum for presenting, discussing, and experiencing novel interactive systems from a research-oriented perspective.

This year, the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa hosts the conference. Whether this is your first IsraHCI or you've been part of the community from the start, we look forward to welcoming you.

2027 Theme: Interaction in the Age of Intelligence

As intelligent and automated systems become part of daily life, getting the human side of technology right matters more than ever.

This year’s theme is Interaction in the Age of Intelligence, but good interaction has always depended on core HCI principles, with or without AI. IsraHCI 2027 welcomes contributions from all areas of the field: usability, accessibility and user research, novel input methods, games, social computing, AI-driven systems, and more.

One of our main goals is to strengthen the dialogue between academia and industry. Industry teams deal every day with the challenges of building and shipping complex products. Academic researchers bring theory, methods, and the time to study long-term effects. We believe that each side has much to learn from the other.

Whatever your focus within HCI, we invite you to share your work, exchange ideas, and help shape where our field goes next. The submission deadline is November 28, 2026. See the Call for Contributions page for details.
